Research

Research by the Chair of Financial Accounting deals with accounting transparency and disclosure regulation. The research employs analytical and empirical analyses to investigate how disclosure incentives, regulations, and innovation affect the supply, demand, and use of firm information. In particular, we focus on how institutional frameworks affect firms and what level of regulation is appropriate. The Chair's work contributes to the scientific foundation of regulations and explores the impact of transparency on society.
