Technical meeting PRACTICE project

22.04.2016

In preparation for the 5th and final deliverable for the PRACTICE project the Bar Ilan University invited for a technical meeting in Tel Aviv. Despite the scenic view over the Mediterranean Sea from the meeting room, about 20 participants fruitfully discussed topics around secure computation in the Cloud.

The Chair of Logistics and Quantitative Methods was represented by Fabian Taigel. With our work package partners from SAP he presented a prototype for secure supply chain collaboration that was implemented during the last months. This prototype features the core functionalities for secure supply chain collaboration in two different industrial scenarios: one is condition-based maintenance where a service provider needs to forecast the demand for maintenance based on the sensitive condition data of his customer’s machinery; second is a retail scenario where a manufacturer needs aggregate information from retailers’ data. The task for the final phase of the project is now to incorporate the feedback we got in Tel Aviv and then test the prototype and assess its potential benefits in various settings.
