Public Relations: DWS Science Award Dr. Maximilian Hubmann

On November 27, 2023, Dr. Maximilian Hubmann was awarded the 3,000 euro prize from the German Scientific Institute of Tax Consultants (DWS) for his dissertation "Tax Avoidance and Cross-Border Taxation". Maximilian Hubmann served as a research associate under the supervision of Professors Dirk Kiesewetter and Hansrudi Lenz, who also supervised the dissertation. The laureate completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Law, Economics & Society (GSLES) at the University of Würzburg. The award ceremony took place during this year's DWS Symposium in Berlin. Prof. Dr. Hartmut Schwab, Chairman of the DWS Institute's Board and President of the Federal Chamber of Tax Consultants, presented the certificate. The laudatory speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Robert Ullmann, a member of the scientific working group 'Tax Law' at the DWS Institute and Chair of Business Taxation at the University of Augsburg. Dr. Hubmann presented the key findings of his dissertation, which has also been published in reputable journals, during a lecture.
