Classification

Depending on the choice of the focus modules and the specialisation topic respectively, the courses offered by the Chair of Econometrics can be credited to a different extent.

In the focus Econometrics, Econometrics 1 and Econometrics 2 are mandatory courses (Core). The other courses offered by the Chair of Econometrics count as Core Electives in the focus Econometrics.

When choosing another focus module or other specialisations, it is possible to include different courses as elective courses (Core Electives). Furthermore, the modules listed below can be credited in the Interdisciplinary Part.

Furthermore, there is the possibility to choose the Advanced Seminar at the Chair of Econometrics in the Interdisciplinary Part.

In general it is recommended to take the basic courses Econometrics 1 and Econometrics 2 at first. Building on this, the courses Econometrics 3, Microeconometrics and Analysis of Financial Market Data follow, which can be attended independently. The course European Economic Statistics can be chosen separately from the other courses.

Focus Econometrics

The various courses of the Focus Econometrics are composed as follows:

  1.  Econometrics 1 and Econometrics 2 as compulsory course (Core)
  2.  Selection of 2 elective courses (Core Electives) as specialization from the following courses:
  • Econometrics 3 (Prof. Kukuk)
  • Analysis of Financial Market Data (Prof. Kukuk)
  • Microeconometrics (Prof. Kukuk)
  • Market Research and Demand Analysis (Prof. Doganoglu)
  • Advanced Computational Economics (Prof. Fehr)
  • Empirische Personalforschung mit Stata (Prof. Zwick)
  1. Advanced Seminar: Ökonometrie (optionally) in the Interdisciplinary Part

It is recommended to attend the seminar after having completed the above mentioned courses.

 


Please note that the course Microeconometrics will be offered neither in the summer term 2020 nor in the winter term 2020/21!
