Julius Jansen, M.Sc.
Julius Jansen works as a senior analyst in KfW’s Transaction Management division, where he is responsible for DLT-based settlement assets. As part of his doctoral research, he is examining the economic incentive structures for the use of stablecoins. Of particular interest is the fact that the motivation to use these instruments varies depending on the issuer, the regulatory framework, and the underlying reference currency. Given the increasing use of stablecoins and MiCA-regulated e-money tokens by institutional actors, an in-depth analysis of these digital assets is becoming increasingly relevant.
